FREQUENTLY ASKED
Before your visit
How can I find Foxe Skin + Laser in Cleckheaton?
Foxe Skin + Laser is located on Westgate in Cleckheaton, directly opposite Tappino's.
Is there parking available at the clinic?
Yes, there are two carparks on Crown Street, which is just a minutes walk away from the clinic. Both are free for 2 hours, however the bigger of the two requires you to display a ticket from the machine.
Do you have a waiting room?
We do not have a waiting room so we ask that you arrive promptly at your appointment time rather than early. If you are a few minutes early, please wait patiently and quietly in the entrance whilst we finish with our previous client.
Do I need a consultation before my treatment?
For some treatments, yes. Laser hair removal, tattoo removal, electrolysis and certain skin treatments require a consultation and patch test before treatment. This gives us the opportunity to assess your skin, discuss your goals and make sure the treatment is suitable and safe for you.
I'm not sure what treatment to book?
No worries! We know choosing the right treatment can be daunting. Feel free to contact us via WhatsApp, DM, or email for guidance, or book a skin or laser consultation for a face-to-face assessment and any necessary patch tests.
How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?
There isn't a fixed number that guarantees complete hair removal. Hair growth cycles, hormones, skin types, hair colour and the treatment area can all affect results. Most clients need a course of treatments to achieve significant hair reduction, with maintenance treatments scheduled afterwards.
Can I shave between laser hair removal / electrolysis treatments?
Yes. Shaving is the preferred method of hair removal between laser and electrolysis treatments. Avoid waxing, plucking or epilating because these remove the hair from the follicle which needs to be in place for the laser and electrolysis to be effective.
How does tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal uses short pulses of laser energy to target tattoo pigment. The pigment is broken into smaller particles, which your body then gradually clears. Multiple treatments are usually required and results vary depending on factors such as ink colour, depth, ages and the tattoo itself.
Can you remove all tattoos completely?
Complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Some tattoos respond very well to treatment, while others can be more resistant depending on the ink, colour, depth and how the tattoo was applied. Your tattoo will be assessed during your consultation and we'll give you realistic expectations.
What can electrolysis treat?
Electrolysis can be used for permanent hair removal and is particularly useful for individual hairs, subborn areas and hair that isn't suitable for laser. It can be used on a wide range of skin tones and hair colours, including hairs that don't respond to laser.
Is electrolysis permanent?
Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal method when the follicle is successfully treated. Because hairs grow in different cycles, multiple appointments are needed to treat the hairs as they become active.
What skin blemishes can you treat?
Depending on suitability, we can treat certain benign skin blemishes such as skin tags, milia, seborrhoeic keratoses, age spots, thread veins and warts. All blemishes must be assessed before treatment, and anything that appears suspicious or unsuitable for cosmetic treatment will be referred appropriately.
